Complaints

To comply with various bodies a complaints procedure is required. As I am not a large company I need to build a positive reputation so an unhappy customer is not an option. My objective is simply not to have any complaints, however to keep the various bodies happy I have outlined my procedures here.

If you have any reason for concern then simply contact me and I will endeavour to resolve any issues in a timely manner at no additional costs to yourself. To ensure Customer satisfaction my working practices are listed below:

  • I agree and document the work to be done
  • Written estimates are provided where possible and include the objective and scope of the work to be undertaken
  • I turn up on the dates and times agreed
  • You are kept informed of the progress and status of the work
  • I will always maintain a high standard of work which complies with the current regulations
  • Full certification is provided at the end of a job to ensure compliance with regulations and peace of mind that it is safe and functional
  • Payment is normally due on completion of the job. Exceptions to this may be for staged work, but this will be agreed before work commences
  • I guarantee my work for a period of 12 months from the completion date There are some areas however that I cannot control or be held responsible for:
    • The initial complaint must be made directly to me before any third party makes changes or corrects the area under concern.
    • The complaint can only be made by the person ordering the work.
    • Any failures due to the circuits or components being used outside the specifications detailed in the design and certification documentation.
    • Damage caused by misuse or external influences.
    • Electrical Installation Condition Reports, where the relevant features of the electrical installation have subsequently been altered or removed.
    • Further changes to the relevant installation or circuits have been made
    • No responsibility is taken for the suitability and functionality of any appliances connected to the electrical installation or any damage subsequently caused to the installation or circuits.

Who I am

I have many years experience in the electrical field. A lot of this has been based in the entertainment industry where the need to understand large and often complex wiring systems is a must. The ability to problem solve and provide a safe solution is second nature, and something that I have been able to apply when dealing with domestic electrical work.

From 2006 to 2008 I studied at Croydon College for my City & Guilds level 2 and level 3 certificates in Electrotechnical Technology. I passed both theory and practical exams with distinction.

In 2009 I updated my qualifications by undertaking the City & Guilds 2382-2 - Requirements for Electrical Installations 16th to 17th Edition Update course.

In May 2014, I undertook training on the Loxone range of products, and am pleased to be a recognised partner and installer of their great home automation solutions.

My background in the entertainment industry has provided me with the ability to work quickly and safely, as well as approach each project from whichever direction is necessary. Coupled with the qualifications above, the work I carry out adheres to all current legislation and is presented in a neat and timely manner. All work that I undertake is certificated. This gives you a clear picture of the work I've done as well as a set of test results, which proves the work is safe and complies with regulations.
