About David Lancini Electrical

I have many years experience in the electrical field. A lot of this has been based in the entertainment industry where the need to understand large and often complex wiring systems is a must. The ability to problem solve and provide a safe solution is second nature, and something that I have been able to apply when dealing with domestic electrical work.

My background in the entertainment industry has provided me with the ability to work quickly and safely, as well as approach each project from whichever direction is necessary.

All work I carry out adheres to all current legislation and is presented in a neat and timely manner. Certification is provided for all work that’s undertaken. This gives you a clear picture of the work I’ve done as well as a set of test results, which proves the work is safe and complies with the current regulations.

My Background

From 2001 to 2004, I studied for my Lighting Design BA Honours degree at Rose Bruford college in South East London. This entertainment specialist course introduced me to some fantastic people and an incredible industry.

In 2006, having finished my degree and looking for something else to spark my interest, I started studying electrical engineering at Croydon College. This took me through to 2008, where I finished with my City & Guilds level 2 and level 3 certificates in Electrotechnical Technology. I passed both theory and practical exams with distinction.

In 2009 I updated my qualifications by undertaking the City & Guilds 2382-2 – Requirements for Electrical Installations 16th to 17th Edition Update course.
I’ve since supplemented those courses with the more recent City & Guilds 2382 18th edition course to bring me in line with the most recent edition of the BS7671 electrical wiring regulations.

In May 2014, I undertook training on the Loxone range of products, and am pleased to be a recognised silver partner and installer of their great smart home technology.

2016 saw me taking an interest in small scale solar PV installations and undertaking the City & Guilds 2399 course.

In 2019 I updated my knowledge with the 18th edition update course, and then I further increased my knowledge by undertaking an EV charging course in 2021.
